Giving up your cat for adoption

We understand that giving up your cat for whatever reason is not an easy decision, we will try and ensure this process is as simple as possible for you.

It is important that we know as much as possible about your cat before it comes into our care, this will help us when we come to rehome it. It will also ensure we can provide the best care for your cat during its stay with us. Please complete our rehoming questionnaire.

Once we have received your questionnaire, we will place your cat on the waiting list for a place in a foster home.

There is no cost to hand your cat over to us, however, donations are always welcome.

Frequently asked questions.

  • What area do you cover?
  • We take in cats from within a 15 mile radius of Reading.

  • How long will I have to wait for a space in a foster home?
  • This depends on the time of year (longer in the summer) and your reason for needing your cat to come into care. We try to help quickly in an urgent situation.

  • Where will my cat be looked after?
  • Our cats and kittens are looked after in foster homes located within a 15 mile radius of Reading. We ensure all our cats are neutered and microchipped and receive the veterinary care that they need before we advertise them for adoption.
